Golf Outing Woodmore Country Club
MISSION
When it was founded by Dr. Thomas A. Hart, Sr. in 1947, the mission of Camp Hart was to provide minority and economically disadvantaged youth in urban areas with the experience of camping and other outdoor recreational activities in a scenic natural environment. Camp Hart provided opportunities for urban youth to learn and participate in activities not often available to them such as horseback riding, hiking, archery, and tennis. In 1997, Camp Hart modified its mission by initiating our Junior Golf Clinics, introducing the game of golf to urban youth who have not historically been exposed to the game. The clinics offered a well-rounded youth development experience that includes academic and career counseling and cultural enrichment activities, and helped youth develop discipline, confidence and character while learning one of the nation's most popular sports in an enjoyable environment with their peers.
